Project File / Wynwood, Miami
The bathroom, as a piece of Wynwood.
A 304-home tower rises in Miami's loudest art district, named for the man who named the neighborhood. Inside every bathroom, VIGO handles the quiet part โ the faucet and the drain, both in one matte black.
A studio bath at The Highley House, Wynwood. VIGO faucet & drain โ both matte black.
In short: The Highley House is a two-tower, 12-story, 304-residence building at 2150 N Miami Ave in Wynwood, Miami, developed by Related Group with Rockpoint. VIGO supplied two bathroom fitting categories, both in matte black: the Davidson single-hole bathroom faucet (VG01043MB) and the Elan square shower drain (VG07004MB).

The Address
Named for the man who named the neighborhood.
Back in 1917, a Miami developer and judge named Locke T. Highley christened a patch of subtropical scrub โWyndwood.โ The spelling got streamlined. The name stuck. A century later, it belongs to murals, galleries and the most photographed walls in Florida.
The Highley House carries his name back into the district he founded โ a two-tower, 12-story building at 2150 N Miami Ave developed by Related Group with Rockpoint, architecture by Cohen Freedman Encinosa and interiors by iddi Design. Three hundred and four residences, from 557-square-foot studios to three-bedroom homes, wrapped around a pool, a private cinema, a spa and co-working floors. It is a building that expects to be looked at.
Which sets a peculiar bar for a bathroom. In a neighborhood this loud, a fixture cannot shout โ it has to be the calm, exact thing your eye rests on after a wall of color. VIGO supplied the fittings for that room, and chose a single language for all of them: matte black, square-shouldered, quietly modern.
The Brief
Two categories, one finish.
Highley House pairs warm wood-look plank tile with a bright white vanity and a backlit mirror โ a warm-neutral shell that lets the metal do the drawing. VIGO delivered two fitting categories into that shell, both specified in the same matte black so the sink and the drain read as one decision.

The wall labels
Two fittings, catalogued
The faucet on every Highley House vanity. A broad, flat blade spout sits low over the basin and tapers to a slim front edge, worked by a single flat paddle lever โ a quiet, modern profile in matte black with the VIGO wordmark on the body. One lever, one hole, ADA-compliant, solid brass.
The smallest decision in the room, and the one that gives it away. Rather than a chrome dome in the middle of the floor, Highley House uses VIGO's square point drain, set flush into the white hexagon mosaic in the same black as everything above it. Look down and the finish still holds.
The VIGO Design Ethos
In a district built on color, the bathroom is the one wall that holds still.
On specifying quiet fixtures for loud places

A second layout, the same specification. One finish carried across the whole floorplan.
One finish, head to toe
Everything the eye lands on is the same black.
Faucet and drain, top of the vanity to the floor of the shower. In a 304-home building, that consistency is not decoration โ it is what lets one crew fit hundreds of bathrooms and have every one of them read as designed rather than assembled. Specify the finish once; repeat it everywhere.

Questions, answered
Where is The Highley House?
It is a residential building at 2150 N Miami Ave in Wynwood, Miami, Florida โ the city's arts district. It is a two-tower, 12-story development with 304 apartment residences, developed by Related Group with Rockpoint.
Which VIGO products are in the bathrooms?
VIGO supplied two fitting categories, both in matte black: the Davidson single-hole bathroom faucet (VG01043MB) and the Elan square shower drain (VG07004MB).
What is the matte black faucet on the vanities?
That is the VIGO Davidson in matte black โ a single-hole, single-lever lavatory faucet with a broad, flat, low-profile blade spout. It is solid brass and ADA-compliant.
Why did every fixture use the same matte black finish?
The interiors pair warm wood-look tile with a white vanity and backlit mirror, so a single dark metal ties the room together. Specifying one finish across the faucet and the drain also keeps hundreds of bathrooms visually identical to install at scale.
Who is the building named after?
Locke T. Highley, an early Miami developer and judge who in 1917 gave the neighborhood the name that became โWynwood.โ The building returns his name to the district he helped create.
Can I get the same look at home?
Yes โ each fitting above is a stock VIGO product. Pair the Davidson faucet and the Elan square drain to recreate the Highley House bathroom in one finish.
